Jessie Mae AdamsPublished Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Jessie Mae Adams, 93, of Hope, formerly of Bodcaw, died Friday, February 10, 2006, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott. She was born on July 9, 1912, in Pineland, Texas, to Jessie and Ida Lee Layton. She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Arlis Adams; by one grandson, Gregory Russell; by one great-granddaughter, Marci Rankin; by one brother and by three sisters. Her survivors include: two daughters, Mary Ida Rankin and James of Golden, Mich., and Evelyn I. Russell and Billy of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2006, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope, with Rev. Earl Cumbie officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family received friends Sunday, February 12, 2006, from 4-6 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
