William JohnsonPublished Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneWilliam Dickie Johnson, 75, was born in Prescott to the late Willie H. Johnson and Mildred Ingersoll Johnson. He was retired from Gilbert Lumber and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his father, William (Willie) Johnson; a son, Scott Johnson and three brothers, Milburn, Wilburn and Jimmy Johnson. Survivors include: his mother, Mildred J. Johnson of Boughton; three sons, Gregory Johnson of Georgia, Clinton Johnson of Prescott, and Marcus Johnson of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Charlotte McArty of Gurdon and Margie Haynie of Lamar; two brothers, Jack and Douglas Johnson of Boughton; sisters, Joyce Boone of El Paso, Texas, and Gay Shelton of Hope; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. His was a life-long member of Boughton Baptist Church and served in the United States Air Force. Memorial service was Friday, February 10, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Piney Grove Cemetery. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
