Barbara VittitowPublished Wednesday, February 8, 2006 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Barbara Vittitow, 77, of Tyler, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2006, in Carrollton, Texas. Barbara was born May 12, 1928, in Prescott. She was a Methodist and has lived in the Tyler area most of her life. Mrs. Vittitow was a floral designer with Judge the Florist and Redbarn. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Vittitow and daughter, Vicki McMillian. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Hobson of Carrollton; son, John G. Vittitow of Lafayette, La.; sister, Lula Jean Avery of North Little Rock; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2006, with Rev. Dewayne Yates officiating. Burial followed at Cathedral in the Pines under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Visitation was Saturday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Lingafelter, Blake McMillan, Paxton Hobson, Rev. J. Grant Vittitow, Aaron Vittitow, and Josh Vittitow.
