Dorothy Hurst McNeal, 82, of Arkadelphia died Friday, January 27, 2006, at the Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

She was born Sept 16, 1923, in Clark Co, the daughter of the late Jerry and Mamie Herron Hurst. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McNeal, four brothers, Clarence, Jerry, L.B. and Bill Hurst and three sisters, Judy and Mittie Hurst, Shirley Hurst-Taylor.

Survivors include one son, Tommy McNeal of Curtis; two daughters, Mary Jo Miranda and Evelyn Nix both of Curtis; three brothers, Robert Hurst of Curtis, Harold Hurst of Gurdon and James Roy Hurst of Little Rock; one sister, Imogene McKin of Arkadelphia; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan 29, 2006, in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Bros. Rick Pyron and Stan Escalante officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. To sign online guest register go to www.ruggleswilcox.com.
