Lloyd StocktonPublished Wednesday, January 25, 2006 in the Gurdon TimesLloyd G. Stockton, age 79, of Okolona, died on Monday, January 16, 2006 at the Pine Hope Health and Rehab Center in Hope. He was born on Aug. 20, 1926, the son of the late Alfred and Gertie Lee Howard Stockton. He was a farmer, A WWII U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Antoine Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ruth Stockton, and one sister, Carol Ruth Kelly. Survivors include his daughter, Pat Rowe, and her husband, Dennis, of Arkadelphia; one grandson, Dustin Stockton and his wife, Bethany of Hollywood. Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with the Rev. Randy Hughes and the Rev. Charlie Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Halfway Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Halfway Cemetery Fund c/o Bank of DeLight.
