Mary Carter, 77, of Gurdon, died on Monday, January 9, 2006 at her residence.

She worked for Firestone and was also a homemaker. She attended the First Christian Church of Gurdon.

Survivors include: a husband, William Franklin Carter of Gurdon; a son, Roger Duncan of Bald Knob; a daughter, Vina Fulmer of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Albert Cooper of Whelen Springs and Franklin Cooper of Gurdon; eight sisters, Sarah Sims of Mansfield, Louisiana, Pearl Sims of Arkadelphia, Ann Sims of Texarkana, Opal Reeves of Gurdon, Martha Morrison of Prescott, Molly Howell of Arkadelphia, Minnie Howell of Gurdon and Rosa Myers of Colt; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were scheduled for 3 p.m. on Wedensday, January 11, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was scheduled to be in the Rose Hill Cemetery by Horne Funeral Home in Gurdon.
