Betty AmmonsPublished Wednesday, December 28, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Betty Louise Netchey Ammons, 81, of Prescott, died Thursday, December 22, 2005, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab. She was born on March 24, 1924, in Detroit, Mich., to Peter Alexander and Elsie Yost Netchey. She was a housewife, mother and former nutritionist for Prescott Nursing Home. She was a Lutheran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlis Ammons; by one brother, Albert and by one sister, Patricia Netchey. Survivors include, two sons, Rev. Dennis Ammons of St. Charles, Ill. and Jim Ammons of Prescott; two daughters, Donna Ammons McKinnon of Prescott and Virginia Davis of Decatur; one brother, Kenneth Netchey of Escanaba, Mich.; nine grandchildren ane 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2005, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Dennis Ammons officiating. Burial followed in Ebenezer Cemetery in Bluff City. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Friday, December 23, 2005, from 12-3 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
