Alcoholics Anonymous, a fellowship of men and women who wish to stop drinking, meets every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday

evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991.

Mom's In Touch prayer group meets every Tuesday at 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church.

A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be at the Nevada County Courthouse on Thursday, March 25; Thursday, April 22; Thursday, May 27, and Thursday, June 24.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind checks. To find out if you are eligible, call 1- 800-772-1213.

Preliminary plans are underway for a class reunion of former Cale High School graduates. This is primarily students and staff of 1966-67 through the class of 1988.

However, all graduates and alumni of Cale are included. Date and place will be worked out later.

There will be an ol' timey adult basketball game April 10 at Emmet School in the Ross Gymnasium.

The admission will be $2 for adults and $1 for students. All proceeds will go towards buying lockers for Emmet School and the gym. The Lady Timberwolves will be playing the Lady Eagles and the Timberwolves will be taking on the Eagles. Half-time entertainment will also be provided.

The Prescott Chamber of Commerce will have a coffee and reception Tuesday, March 30, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. The reception is for the Wolverettes for their outstanding season.

Everyone is invited to come out and congratulate the girls and Coach Bill Cossey.

The Prescott Housing Authority has now re-opened its Section 8 waiting list.

Shawn and Ruby Marks of Prescott are proud to announce the birth of Janalon Aman Marks on Thursday, March 16, 1999. Janalon weighed 8 pounds and one ounce and was 19+ inches long.

Grandparents are Kathy A. Marks, Joyce Collins, Jennie Smith and Clara Johnson all of Prescott.

Huey and Cheryl Godwin of Prescott are proud to announce the birth of their son, Shawn Ray Godwin, on Wednesday, March 15, 1999. Shawn weighed 9 pounds and 4 ounces and was 20+ inches long.

Grandparents are Ray and Lula Pruitt of Prescott.

There will be a singing at Morris Baptist Church Thursday, March 25, at 7 p.m.

Munn's Chapel Baptist Church will celebrate the second anniversary of their pastor, Rev. Arthur Hill, on Sunday, March 28, at 2:30 p.m.

Guest church will be Lonoke Baptist Church of Texarkana. Speaker will be Dr. C.K. Yarber, pastor of Lonoke and moderator of the Southwest District Association. A pre-anniversary musical will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 7 p.m., featuring area choirs and soloists.

Bluff City Church of Christ will have a gospel meeting March 28-31 with Ed Todd of Stephens doing the preaching.

Meeting times will be 10:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
