Nathan JeffersonPublished Wednesday, November 16, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneNathan Jefferson, 82, of Bluff City, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, in the Ouachita County Medical Center, Camden. Mr. Jefferson was born May 23, 1923, in Bluff City, the son of Obie and Dora Rochell Jefferson. He was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church and retired from Reynolds Metal Co. in Arkadelphia. Survivors include his wife, Helen Jefferson of Bluff City; one son, Nathan Jefferson, Jr., of Milwaukee, Wisc.; two daughters, Helen Tate and husband, Bruce, of Little Rock, and Dorothy Allen and husband Marshall of Bluff City; three brothers, Samuel Jefferson and wife, Dorothy, of Peoria, Ill., Fulton Jefferson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Thomas Jefferson and wife, Minnie, also of Cincinnati; four sisters, Gustorvia Redic of Richmond, Calif., Gladys Kirby of Prescott, Ollie Grigsby of Detroit, Mich. and Marie Bolar of Cincinnati; one granddaughter, Pamela Taylor of Georgia; two great-grandsons, Quindale Taylor and Ricky Taylor; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Walters officiating. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home of Camden. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov.11, 2005, at the funeral home.
