Mrs. Allie Mae Ollison, 80, of Gurdon, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs.

She was born May 25, 1925, in Columbia County to John Steve and Beula McDaniel Ford. She was a homemaker and mother.

She was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church and lived her life with high Christian values. She loved children and shared her many talents with all who were willing to learn. Sons, daughters and nephews will always remember her traveling companionship, special birthday cakes and the love put into each one. Neighborhood children will always remember the quilting and school lessons taught before they entered kindergarten. All will remember her radiant smile, her kind heart and the love she so graciously shared.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Archie and Forcie; and three sisters, Emma, Mozell and Christine.

Survivors include eight sons, George Edwards Henry Sr. and Maple, of Ozan, Joe Williams Henry and Judy, and Horace Henry and Diana of Los Angeles, Calif., J.D. Henry and Doris, and Sidney Floyd Henry I and Edena of Gurdon, Willie Lee Henry and LaTonya of Kentucky, Jerry Henry and Wilma of Compton, Calif., and Perry Henry and Natalya of Moreno Valley, Calif.; five daughters Jessie May Henry and Cleo Edwards of Gurdon, Dessie Mae Henry of San Bernadino, Calif., Mary Ruth Bell of Sacramento, Calif., and Margie Walker and Frankie of Hot Springs; one brother, Bennie Ford and Marie of Detroit, Mich.; grandchildren reared, Willie Joe Price and Gloria of Hot Springs, Jerome Edwards Henry of Bennettsville, S.C. and Gregory Wilkins and Rose of Little Rock; 43 other grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, Gurdon, with the Rev. Johnny Harris officiating. Burial was in Sweet Home Cemetery, Prescott, under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.

A wake was held Friday, Nov. 4, from 6-7 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.
