Johnny Lowdermilk

Mr. Johnny Sebern Lowdermilk, 84, of Prescott, died Monday, October 24, 2005, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

He was born on May 27, 1921, in Prescott, to Claude Matthew and Alta Vivian Cross Lowdermilk. He was retired from Arkla Gas with 33 years of service and a retired used car dealer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Prescott. He was President of Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma Virginia Avery Lowdermilk, who died in 1974.

His survivors include his wife, Alice Marie Crain Lowdermilk of Prescott; one son, Ronald Lowdermilk and Barbara of Prescott; one daughter, Virginia Ann Burton and Jim of Prescott; one brother, Winzel Lowdermilk and Ruthal of El Dorado; one sister, Audrey C. Herrbold of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Gary Lowdermilk and Barbara of Prescott, Randy Lowdermilk and Charity of Prescott, Brian Lowdermilk of Prescott, Kiley Burton and Monica of Prescott, and Krista Burton of Prescott; six great-grandchildren, Brady, Brooke, Caleb, Jordan and Whitney of Prescott and Sammy and wife Dana of Dunlap, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2005, at First United Methodist Church in Prescott, with Rev. David Kassos and Mr. Tony Hamilton officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Wednesday, October 26, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
