Homecoming queen, court are named

Kim Crowder will reign as the 2005 Homecoming Queen for Prescott High School.

Crowder will be crowned Friday afternoon, Oct. 14, at 2:45 during the homecoming pep rally. She will hold court Friday night during the football game between the Prescott Curley Wolves and the Fountain Lake Cobras.

Other members of the Homecoming Court are: maid-at-large, Ashley Dixon; senior maids: Carmine Ferguson, Miyako Franklin, Morgan Higdon, Jessica Honea, Kathryn Lavender, Meagan Martin, Whitney Todd, Maria Tutor, Katlin Tye, Jasmine Vanhook and Robyn Wiley.

The senior Curley Wolf escorts are: Justin Barlow, Trent Cox, Chance Cummings, Jared Dougan, David Gill, Sean Hart, Jeremy Henry, Daniel Holley, Doug Holley, Chris Phillips, Brandon Sanders, Tristan Stuart and Derek Zumwalt.

Genna Adams, daughter of Bobby and Mary Gen Adams, and Kitesy Purtle, daughter of Carroll and Sharon Purtle, will serve as the flower girls. Cade Haynie, son of Jim and Kendra Haynie, will be the crown bearer. Announcers are Matthew Haynie and Amber Pickett.

The PHS Student Council is sponsoring the annual Homecoming Parade Thursday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. The parade will begin on West Second Street at the First Methodist Church and follow its traditional route through downtown Prescott. This years parade theme is A Hollywood Homecoming.

The homecoming pep rally is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in the PHS gym. The royalty and their escorts will be introduced at this time.

Pre-game ceremonies begin at 6:55 p.m. at Cummins Field. The queen and her court will be presented to the public. The homecoming game between the Wolves and Cobras will kick off at 7:30.
