Myra May

Myra M. May, 89, of Stamps, died Sunday, September 25, 2005, Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born September 1, 1916, in Rosston.

Mrs. May was a homemaker, a member of the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. May; son, Earl W. May, Jr., and a daughter, Jo Ann Ward.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Martha May of Bodcaw; daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Jack McMahen of Stamps; brother-in-law, Buster May of El Dorado; son-in-law Tee Ward of Bodcaw; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at the Corinth Baptist Church at Bodcaw with Rev. Perry Purtle and Rev. Billy Russell officiating with burial in Union Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
