Mrs. Augie Lee Duncan Myers Douglas, resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at the Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne.

She was 80 years of age. Mrs. Douglas enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing and picking blackberries. She was a member of the Pine Tree Baptist Church for many years prior to her illness.

Mrs. Douglas is survived by five sons, Freddie "Tom" Myers of Hughes; Charlie Myers of Colt; Roy Myers of Gurdon; Bill Myers of Gurdon; James "Jamie" Myers; four daughters, Liz Cooper of Gurdon; Freda Cardenes of Garland, Texas; Donna Jenkins and Mary Ashley of Arkansas; one brother: Torris Duncan of Osceola; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Douglas and Charlie Lee Duncan, parents, Charlie Lee and Florence Elizabeth Duncan; daughter Julie Ann Hathcock, two brothers: Horace Duncan and Jim Duncan; and three sisters, Oleata, Jessie Mae and Laverne.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne. Interment was in the Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City.

Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21 at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home.
