The calendar says it is spring time, but I still feel like it's winter.

There is still many sick folks and some of them are our old school friends at Redland. Bill Loe, brother of Bob Loe, is seriously ill in Union Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.

Another dear friend, Doug Burley, son of the late B.J. and Minnie Burley, is seriously ill at his home in Kingwood, Texas.

Our son-in-law, Tim Wilson, is not doing as well as we would like.

Hazel Cox Powell from Little Rock visited her sister, Glendene Haynie, last week and they visited Hazel's schoolmate, George Taylor.

Faye Taylor visited her mother, Minnie Moore, in Camden on Sunday.

Congratulations to Erica Burdue for winning her division in a singing contest at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arkadelphia on Saturday night.

Caley Pennington celebrated her 8th birthday on Saturday with a party hosted by her parents, Danny and Lisa Pennington, brother, Kyle, and grandparents, George and Joey Cox. She and about 20 friends enjoyed cake and ice cream and playing games at Prescott City Park.

Bob Loe spent last weekend fishing and camping at Cedar Creek in Gun Barrel City, Texas.

We're kind of behind on Katy's activities. Congratulations are in order to Katy Wilson and her friend Amber Pickett by being honored to serve as pages for Sen. Mike Ross in Little Rock. Besides a good time, it was very educational. Katy also made cheerleader for the Prescott Curley Cubs about three weeks ago. Katy spend the night Friday night with Amber Pickett and on Saturday they spent the day fishing and picnicking at Suckles Lake.

Wayne Zumwalt and family from Bentonville spent his spring break here with his mother, Faye Zumwalt.

You have to get to church early these days if you want a back seat.
