B.F. Rhodes

Mr. B.F. Bill Rhodes, 81, of Rosston, died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at his home.

He was born on February 5, 1924, in Nevada County, to Benjamin F. Rhodes, Sr. and Minnie Higginbotham Rhodes. He was a retired sheet metal worker. He was a member of Morris Baptist Church in Caney, a Navy Veteran of World War II, member of VFW Post 4554 of Camden, member of Prescott Lodge #80, a 32 degree Mason and lifetime member of Scottish rite of Free Masonry of Valley of Dallas, Orient of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His survivors include: his wife, Betty Dickerson Rhodes of Rosston; four sisters, Ismay Stovall of Rosston, Sue Baker of Camden, Grace Callicott of Searcy and Martha Faye Vanhoose of Seagoville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2005, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Sam Tamburo officiating. Masonic graveside burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Cale. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Friday, September 2, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
