Derwin Lacy

OKOLONA  Today we have lost a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and great friend. We are saddened to see a longtime resident of Okolona leave us on Aug. 23, 2005.

Derwin Thomas Lacy died in the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Many knew Derwin from Hardman's Lumber, quite the character and jokester. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Survivors include: his wife, Shannon Lacy; one son, Dorian Lacy, and two

daughters, Angel and Sharah Lacy, all of Okolona; his mother and father, Johnny and Bessie Duncan Lacy of Okolona; seven brothers, Johnny Lacy Jr. of Hot Springs, Michael Lacy of Arizona, Corey Lacy of Okolona, Johnny, David and Lonnie Lacy of Gurdon, Calvin Lacy of Prescott; one sister, Tamar Bland

of Hot Springs; one granddaughter, Nina Moss.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Calvin Lacy officiating. Interment will be in Burtsell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dorian Lacy, Ron Fields, Christopher Burtness, Lonnie

Lacy Jr., David and Johnny Lacy, Danny Francis, Tony Wilson and Emmett "Butch" Gillis.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Donations will be accepted at any U.S. Bank location.
