The annual Women's Day was held at Cana A.M.E. Church March 21. Special guest was sister Tessie Scott, Haynes Chapel COGIC Dallas, Texas. Guest choir was John Baptist Bluff City. Theme: 'Render the Shadow of His Love.' Sister Scott really did speak good. She is a wonderful missionary lady. She had some good backers, Rev. McCoy, Rev. Reddie, and pastor Banks, that choir from St. John in Bluff City really did sing.

Oak Grove had its Women's Day Sunday also.

Visitors in my home were Rev. Seth Amonia and family from Africa. He is the president of Africa's Christian Mission in Gohna.

Oak Grove held a three-night meeting last week. It started Wednesday night with Rev. Raymon Bishop, Thursday night with Rev. Gulley and Friday night with Rev. Wallace Ingram. You talk about a time, we had a good time.

Our cousin from Camden visited us Friday. Laverne Green and his brother stopped by to see George. They had been fishing at Barham Lake.

Paul Dixon and wife Gracie came to see Uncle George Sunday evening. I went to Cana Sunday evening to Women's Day program. I did not get to see them.

Things are shaping up around Oak Grove. Oak Grove Church had some beautiful carpet on its floor. It really looks nice. Alvin Tidwell's carpet layer put it on for them.
