Mrs. Ernestin Suttles Draper, 85, of Prescott, died Saturday, August 6, 2005, in Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born on January 6, 1920, in Ozan to Jodie and Ida Clemons Suttles. She was a retired school teacher having taught school in eastern Arkansas. She received her BSE from Philander Smith College and had 18 hours of graduate work from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She was a member of Cothran Chapel CME Church in Prescott; Stewardess Board and Missionary Society member; Eastern member of Tyronza Queen Chapter 198, Earle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cy E. Draper, who died September 2000.

Her survivors include two sisters, Ona Bell Suttles and Jodie Lee Compton, both of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Cothran Chapel CME Church in Prescott, with Rev. Annie Hubbard, Rev. Monteal Rhynes, and Rev. Rufus McCall officiating. Burial was at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
