Dorothy WardPublished Wednesday, August 17, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneDorothy Bradford Ward, 85, of Prescott, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005. She was born March 1, 1920, to William Bradford and Sarah Allison Bradford in Murfreesboro. Dorothy was a retired Medical Records Clerk for the Nevada County Hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Rainbow Garden Club and United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Watson Ward, her parents, and her brother, Ordis Bardofrd. She is survived by a step-son, Dale Ward and wife Ruth E. of Prescott; a step-daughter, Bobbie Sue Minor and husband Jim of Prescott; one sister, Winnie Harrell of Hampton; two nephews; one niece and three step-grandsons. Funeral services were Saturday, August 13, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Kassos officiating. Burial was at DeAnn Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott. Visitation was Friday, August 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home.
