Louise Young

Louise Coats Young, 85, of North Little Rock was born in 1919, passed away at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on August 8, 2005.

She grew up in Nashville, Arkansas, and then attended Ouachita Baptist University where she received a B.S. degree.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Young, and daughter, Karen Young. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Marilyn Young, of Tyler, Texas; brother-in-law, Kenneth Young; and many nieces and nephews.

She taught fifth grade at Oak Grove School for many years. She is a member of Amboy Baptist Church. The family lived previously at Gurdon, Hope, and Arkadelphia. She and her husband retired briefly on the Arkansas River near Conway.

Visiting hours were be at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 5-7 p.m., Thursday. Funeral services were held 10 a.m., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
