Published Wednesday, March 24, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayunePRESCOTT 3 The Wolves fell to 2-6 on the season and 0-1 in conference play after a 9-3 loss to Fountain Lake. A walk and three wild pitches in the first put the Cobras on the board, but Prescott tied the game on Yates' fourth homer of the year in the bottom of the third. The Cobras took the lead for good with four runs in the top of the fourth, going up 5-1, as the team batted around. Fountain Lake recorded four hits and a walk in the innings, to go with the four runs. A sixth run was added in the top of the fifth, after Prescott pitching gave up two hits and a walk. The Cobras finished scoring in the top of the sixth with a trio of runs, coming off a walk, a hit and two errors. A two-run homer by Josh Bullock accounted for the final score as he hammered one in the bottom of the seventh. Bullock took the loss on the hill, though he walked five and fanned a season-high 10.
