Thelma BrownPublished Wednesday, July 27, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Thelma B. Dillard Brown, 80, of Prescott, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, in Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott. She was born September 21, 1924, in Nevada County to Floyd and Pinkie Hicks Shipp. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Prescott Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eldon Dillard, and her second husband, Luther. Her survivors include: one son, Derris Dillard of Texarkana, Ark.; one daughter, Carolyn Wood of Tyler, Texas; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 3 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2005, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Thursday, July 21, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
