Lula GulleyPublished Wednesday, July 27, 2005 in the Gurdon TimesLula Merle Gulley, 67, of Gurdon, died Friday in the St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. She was born on February 3, 1938, in Gurdon, the daughter of Genella Harris and the late Edward Stuckey. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Bethel AME Church at Gurdon. Survivors include her husband, Herman Gulley; her mother, Gennella Harris of Gurdon; two sons, Herman Gulley Jr. and Thomas Gulley of Gurdon; three daughters, Shirley Bell, Bunnie Dixon and Lola Powell, all of Gurdon; one brother, Plas Stuckey of Little Rock; two sisters, Hattie Mitchell and Gwendolyn Smith of Gurdon; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the Bethel AME Church at Gurdon, with the Rev. Jewel Danner officiating.
