James Marcum Jr.Published Wednesday, July 6, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneJames Marcum, Jr. Mr. James Harold Marcum, Jr., 59, of Hope, died Monday, June 27, 2005, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. He was born January 16, 1946, in Hope to James Harold Marcum, Sr. and Mary Cordelia Rowe Marcum. He was a retired insurance executive. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father. His survivors include three sons, Greg Marcum of Hope, Dr. Shane Marcum of Irving, Texas and Trea Young of Benton; two daughters, Kimberly Renee Marcum of Lubbock, Texas and Sebrina Marcum of Louisville, Ken.; his mother, Cordelia Marcum of Hope; one brother, Mike Marcum of Alexandria, La.; one sister, Evelyn Triplett of Pascagoula, Miss.; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope with Rev. Larry Silvey officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
