Mary Jones

Mrs. Mary Beth Jones, 86, of Prescott, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, in Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott.

She was born on December 24, 1918, in Prescott to Dee Otis and Bessie Agnes Barnes Montgomery. She was a homemaker. She was a Methodist, an awesome cook and loved to keep children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam G. Jones, who died in January 1998; by one brother, Ralph Montgomery and by two sisters, Eva Jones and Gladys Steele.

Her survivors include one daughter, Phenea Jones Youngman and Jim of Prescott; two sisters, Doris Mouser of Hot Springs, and Emma Sue Zikoski or Bethlehem, Penn.; two grandsons Lonnie Hawkins and Leslie of Benton and Shawn Hawkins and Terri of Prescott; and six great-grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Hawkins both of Benton, Holli, Tori, and Arrian, all of Prescott, and J.D. Sampson of Prescott.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Saturday, June 11, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
