Man faces charges over tire-tool assaultBY JOHN NELSONPublished Wednesday, May 25, 2005 in the Gurdon Times Thomas Ray Allen, 35, of Gurdon, was arrested on April 24 for battery in the second degree, a Class D felony, after allegedly hitting another man in the head with a tire tool. Marshal Don Childres said Thursday that Allen allegedly caused physical harm with the tire tool to Larry Washington at 202 North Street in Gurdon. If convicted, Allen could face imprisonment in the Arkansas Department of Corrections for a term not less than one year, nor more than six years, or a fine not to exceed $10,000 or both.
