Emmet Council Ponders Problems With Railroad Crossing (cont)

The council discussed purchasing a vehicle to be used for neighborhood watches in the city, and be used by an auxiliary or reserve deputy.

Nevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell is checking into the legality of the city buying a vehicle for such use.

Nothing, though, will be done until the legal ramifications are cleared up. Booker said he doesn't want the city caught without legal protection.
