Mrs. Josephine Henderson, 57, of Prescott, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, in St. Vincents Hospital in Little Rock.

She was born September 24, 1947, in Nevada County to William Dan and Marie Charles Hopson. She was a nurses aide with Home Health of Prescott. She was a member of Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church in Prescott; President of Mt. Ephesus Missionary Society; Vice-President of Church Choir and member of the Ila Upchurch Womens Club.

She was preceded in death by one son.

Her survivors include: her husband of almost 40 years, Bedie Henderson of Prescott; three sons, Joe Henderson, Jr. and Phyllis of Prescott, Danny Henderson and Cynthia of Wichita, Kan. and Larry Henderson and Lashunda of Little Rock; five brothers, Dan Hopson of Calif., Joe Lee Hopson of Prescott; Roy Hopson of Wichita; Harold Hopson of Hope and Wallace Hopson of Gurdon; three sisters, Ada Hopson of Prescott, Janice Haynes of Wichita, and Carolyn Hawthorne of Prescott; one special god-sister, Mae Jean Colbert of Prescott; two special goddaughters, Angela Robinson and Shaunna Austin; special nurse, Gail Campbell; 12 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Walters officiating. Burial in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Friday, May 6, 2005, from 7-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.
