Mrs. Johnnie Louise Brantley Evans, 74, of Hope, died Friday, May 6, 2005, at her home.

She was born April 17, 1931, in Nevada County to Terrell C. and Virgie E. Ames Brantley. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of Southside Assembly of God Church in Hope. She loved her grands and great-grands and all her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Clifton Evans, who died May 11, 2004, and by one daughter, Balinda Evans West and by one brother, Jim Brantley.

Her survivors include: two sons, Terry Evans and Susan of Hope and Johnny Evans and Melissa of Little Rock; one sister, Lucille Ward of Hope; six grandchildren, Jesse Evans, James Evans, Mallory Evans, Heather West, Kimberly West Mayton, and Jennifer Clark; four great-grandchildren, Josh Smith, Shelby Smith, Kayla Mayton and Hunter Mayton.

Graveside services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope, with Rev. Spencer Plumley officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Family received friends Monday, May 9, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
