Kenny Syata, 51, of Hope, died Friday, May 6, 2005, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. He was born July 10, 1953, in Houston, Texas to Frank P. and Willie Stone Syata. He was a building contractor. He attended Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Hope and Emmet First Baptist Church in Emmet. His survivors include: his wife of 16 years, Diana McBride Syata of Hope; two sons, Tyler Syata and Zachary Syata both of Hope; his parents, Frank and Willie Syata of Hope; one sister, Kathey Harwell of Hope and one niece, Sarah Clements of North Little Rock. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2005, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope, with Rev. Johnny Jackson, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Harmony Cemetery in Sutton. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope. Family received friends Sunday, May 8, 2005, from 5-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
