Dovie AndersonPublished Wednesday, May 11, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneDovie Irene Anderson, 96, of Stamps, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at the Hempstead Manor Nursing Home in Stamps. She was born January 5, 1909, in Nevada County. She was a member of the Emmanual Baptist Church in Magnolia, where she was a former church secretary. She is survived by three sons: Wesley Anderson of McNeil, Willie Anderson of Magnolia, and Ernest Anderson of Texas; three daughters, Josephine Hunter of Magnolia, Geneva Perdue Rawls of Waldo, and Faye Jackson of Texarkana; brother, Johnny Loe of Magnolia; 27 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Rev. Dewayne Dicus officiating with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Magnolia, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
