Betty LindsayPublished Wednesday, April 13, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneOn Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005, Betty Jane Rhodes Lindsay was called home to be with the Lord and reunited with her husband and family. She was one of 11 children born in Prescott, where she also grew up. She married Brady Lindsay and moved to Houston in the late 1940's. Betty was a homemaker who loved to cook and sew. She sang and played the guitar, square-danced and fished. She especially loved going back to Arkansas to visit. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and the kind of mother-in-law everyone should have. She is survived by sons, Darrell and Duane; three granddaughters, Sherry, Debra and Heather; four great-grandchildren and two sisters. The family received friends Wednesday, March 30, 2005, from 6-9 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home. Services were Thursday, March 31, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Brookside Chapel of the Chimes.
