Lola RossPublished Wednesday, April 13, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneLola Jones Ross, 95, of Fayetteville, formerly of Emmet, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Fayetteville City Hospital. She was born November 9, 1909, in Nevada County, the daughter of Burton and Blanch Norton Jones. She was a retired clerk of the former Emmet Mercantile. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Emmet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Ross in 1979, and a brother, John Paul Jones, and a sister, Merle Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Rogers and husband, Jimmie of Fayetteville; one brother, Wayne Jones of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Helen Easterling of Trinity, Tex. and Ellen Nelson of El Cajon, Calif.; three grandchildren, Barry Rogers and wife, Jill of Stuttgart, Renee Vick and husband, Rodney of Springdale, and Robin Pendley and husband, Pete, of Rogers; and two great-grandchildren, Garret Rogers and Megan Pendley. Graveside services were at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2005, at Snell Cemetery in Emmet with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating. Burial followed Arrangements under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
