Jewel WingfieldPublished Wednesday, April 13, 2005 in the Gurdon TimesJewel Wingfield, 88, of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away on March 31, 2005. Jewel was born in Gurdon, Arkansas and moved to Phoenix 43 years ago. Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Wingfield, three sons, Glenn A., Jim, and Joe, and one daughter, Dorothy Scott of Arkansas. Surviving children are one son, Jerry Wingfield of Arkansas, and four daughters of Phoenix, Sarah Elieff, Maggie Miracle, Rita Magness, and Lois Wingfield. Her greatest love was for her 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. It was her desire to be cremated and returned to Arkansas for her final resting place next to her husband. A private celebration of life will be held in her honor in Phoenix. Also graveside services were scheduled in Gurdon, Arkansas on Monday, April 11 at 1 p.m., located in South Fork Cemetery.
