Police investigate Plyler burglary

A burglary occurred sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, April 6, at Plylers Hardware, Highway 67, Elm Street.

Gurdon Police Officer Darrin Cooper arrived at the scene at 6:30 a.m. and met with the owner, Gary Plyler.

Upon arrival, Cooper discovered a brick had been thrown through the glass door at the entrance.

Plyler told Cooper several guns were missing and he would take an inventory of everything else missing he could discover.

Cooper said he contacted GPD Sgt. Garry Marshall and the Clark County Sheriffs Office.

He further stated the Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigation Division would investigate the incident as a felony break-in.

Sheriff Troy Tuckers office was contacted on Friday morning and asked for a detailed report of the missing contents.

The incident is still under investigation.
