Catherine WesterfieldPublished Wednesday, April 6, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneCatherine Hesterly Westerfield passed away on March 24, 2005, in San Diego, Calif. She was born in Prescott November 23, 1921, to John and Thorne Hesterly. She graduated from Prescott High School in 1939 and was Valedictorian of her class. She attended Henderson State University Teachers College in Arkadelphia where she met her future husband, Bill Westerfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Ackerman of North Little Rock and one son, Paul. Catherine is survived by a daughter, Susan Baker of Mystic, Conn., two sons, Mark and Mike of San Diego, Calif., one brother, John Hesterly and Babs of Aberdeen, Md. and one sister, Louise and Harvey Walls of Ft. Worth, Tex. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in San Diego. Burial was in Rose Crantz Military Cemetery in San Diego.
