Everett Clark

Mr. Everett C. Clark, 84, of Emmet, did Sunday, March 20, 2005, in Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott.

He was born April 15, 1920, in McKamie to Charlie Carl and Mittie Spencer Clark. He was a retired rancher, cattleman, former maintenance foreman with Hudson, and heavy equipment operator with TGT. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Emmet; Hope Melonaries Square Dancing Club; Cattleman's Association; American Legion; and National Rifleman's Assoc. He was a Master Sergeant, member of the 8th Air Force and served in the European Theater, during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Edna Clark; and by two sisters, Christine Clark and Opal Clower.

His survivors include: his wife of 59 years, Grace Hampton of Emmet; two daughters, Mittie Malone and Annie Duncan both of Emmet; one brother, Bill Wood of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Effie Sharman of Texarkana; four grandchildren, Sean Clark of Emmet, Tracie Brewster of Emmet, Leah McJunkins of Genoa Central, Vicki Marbury of Prescott; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Johnny Jackson, Mr. Dick Snell and Mr. Bobby Harden officiating. Burial followed in Snell Cemetery in Emmet. Arrangements by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Family received friends Monday, March 21, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.
