Nannie McDonaldPublished Wednesday, March 23, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneNannie Marie McDonald, 84, of Mena, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Mena. She was born April 21, 1920, in Blevins, to the late John Gabriel Nivens and the late Carrie Mae Lloyd Nivens. She was united in marriage to the late Dale L. McDonald was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Gaylow McDonald and Ronny Dale McDonald; one daughter, Nanette McDonald Willis; five brothers, Add Nivens, Roy Nivens, Ruff Nivens, Guy Nivens, and Luke Nivens; two sisters, Lucille Smith and Ailene Pickens; four grandchildren, Cindy Dawn McDonald, Jennifer Hanley, Brent McDonald, and Arren Melton; and great-grandchildren Ian Morris and Zach Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 17, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Mena. Interment was at Nubbin Hill Cemetery in Prescott, under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Roy Bradley, Kenneth Cossy, Bob Sharp, Howard Barr and Zachary Morris.
