Mrs. Carol Crowley Thompson, 74, of Bryant, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2005, in a Hot Springs Hospital.

She was born May 16, 1930, in Arkadelphia to William Robert and Carabelle Etchison Thompson. She attended Henderson State University, was a pattern tester for Leisure Arts, worked at Union Bank for five years and did volunteer work at Children's Hospital, where she knitted clothes for premature children. She was the organist at First Southern Baptist Church, was a church financial secretary and a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Margaret Louise Laisure and one grandson, Tim Chambliss.

She is survived by her husband, William McKinley (Mack) Thompson of Bryant; one son, Kin Thompson of Tahlequah, Okla.; two daughters, Kathy Ramsey of Bryant and Pat Chambless and Gary of Perrytown; two sisters, Belva Goza of Dallas, Tex. and Janis Smith of Arkadelphia; one brother, William Robert (Bob) Crowley of St. Louis, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Matt Chambless, Jason Chambless, Summer Scott, Nick Ramsey, Zach Ramsey, Candice Ramsey, Grant Laisure, Sean Laisure, Meg Thompson and McKinley Thompson; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons and son-in-law, Gregg Scott.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2005, at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Bryant with Bro. Tom Williams officiating, by Ashby Funeral Home. Graveside services were 4 p.m. at Snell Cemetery in Emmet under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Memorials may be made to the Indian Springs Baptist Church, Hwy I-30, Bryant, Ark.
