Betty MoreheadPublished Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneBetty Lou Morehead, 67, of Buckner, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at the Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born January 17, 1938, in Waldo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Watkins and Gladys Wreyford. Mrs. Morehead was a member of Buckner Methodist Church. She was a beautician operator for many years in Buckner. Survivors include: husband, Arthur B. Morehead of Buckner; one son, Michael Lynn Morehead of Buckner; four daughters, Rhonda Carol and Jerry Dyer of Bossier City, La., Karen Beth and John Ed Dorman of Bodcaw, Michelle Raye Zeigler of Jacksonville, N.C. and Sharon Gayle and Steve Taylor of Emmet; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Rev. David Watkins and Rev. Charles Walthall officiating with burial in the Shiloh Lamartine Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.
