Elizabeth MurrahPublished Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Elizabeth Murrah, 90, of Prescott, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born on May 31, 1914, in Prescott, to Tom S. and Laura Elizabeth Fielding Garrett. She was a housewife, mother and poll worker. She was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Bluff Springs where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a charter member of the Pat Clayborne Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Ray Murrah, who died in 1991. Her survivors include: one son, Buddy Murrah of Prescott; three daughters, Mary Johnson of Prescott, Ann Flatte of Hot Springs, and Marcia Schultz of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Harmony United Methodist Church, Sutton, with Rev. Donnie Dillard and Rev. T.J. Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Harmony Cemetery. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Family received friends Friday, March 4, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
