Ruth NunnallyPublished Wednesday, February 23, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneRuth Anne Geddie Nunnally, 71, of Camden, died February 15, 2005. She was born June 25, 1933, to Ruth Isabel McAdoo and William Alexander Geddie. Preceded in death by one grandson, William Wakefield Nunnally. Survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert H. Nunnally M.D.; two sons, Robert and his wife Merrill Nunnally of Allen, Texas and Bruce and his wife Ann Nunnally; one grandson, Andrew of Plano, Texas; one daughter, Shanna and her husband Les Berry, their children, Kimberly Berry of Miami, Okla., Lesley Berry, Jr., Chase, and Madison Reed of Stephens; one brother, Ivan Geddie and wife Virginia of Georgetown, Texas; and one sister, Rose Unterschuetz and husband, Ron of Tulsa, Okla. Anne Nunnally was born in Texarkana, Arkansas. She graduated from Camden High School in 1951 with honors. A graduate of Texas Women's University with a B.S. in Vocational Home Economics, she taught at Central High during the year of integration. She earned her Master's degree from Henderson State University in Counseling. She served on various boards of the First United Methodist Church. She was a former president of Ouachita County Library Board, twice past president of the Ouachita Hospital Auxiliary, United Methodist Women, Ouachita County Historical Society, and is a permanent member of the Arkansas Historical Association. She was a warrior fighting cancer and showed us all how to live and die with dignity and grace. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Anne G. Nunnally Scholarship fund, P.O.
