Milton Lee Carter

Milton Lee Carter, 73, of Arkadelphia died March 20, 1999, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

Mr. Carter was born December 11, 1925, in Arkadelphia, the son of Barnard and Lizzie Wright Carter. He was retired from Fafnir Corp. Mr. Carter was a tractor and auto mechanic, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 57 and a member of Hollywood United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Betty Boyer Carter; one brother, Wright Carter of Arkadelphia; three sisters, Mary K. Carter Tucker, Laverne Carter Sweet and Joyce Carter Gallant, all of Arkadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 23, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Turner, Rev. Bruce Howard and Rev. Norman Carter officiating. Burial was in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Memorials may be made to Carter Cemetery Fund at Elk Horn Bank of Arkadelphia.
