James Eckert

James F. "Freddie" Eckert, 53, of Chidester, died Saturday, Feb. 12.

He was a truck driver for Ezell Logging and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Stinnett Eckert of Chidester; two sons, the Rev. Danny Eckert and wife, Heather, of Delight, and Eddie Eckert and wife, Christy, of Chidester; his mother, Maggie Eckert of Gurdon; one brother, Joe Eckert of Gurdon; one sister, Nancy Coplen of Houston, Texas; and four grandchildren.

he was preceded in death by his father, Bill Eckert and a brother, Tommy Eckert.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb 15, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Horn Funeral Home. The Rev. Danny Eckert officiated.
