Lanora EckertPublished Wednesday, February 16, 2005 in the Gurdon TimesLanora Eckert, 81, of Gurdon, died on Saturday, Feb. 5. She was a cafeteria worker for Gurdon Schools and a member of the First Assembly of God church. Survivors include: a husband, John Eckert of Gurdon; a son, Ronald Eckert of Gurdon; a daughter, Renie Taylor of Urbandale, Iowa; a sister, Evelyn Newman of Fort Worth, Texas; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were set for Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Horne Chapel. Burial was to be in the Rose Hill Cemetery by Horne Funeral Home in Gurdon.
