Edgar Spears

Mr. Edgar E. Spears, 97, of Blevins, died Friday, January 21, 2005, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

He was born on May 3, 1907, in Hot Spring County to William F. and Mollie Smith Spears. He was a retired Arkansas Game and Fish employee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Booth Spears; by one son, William Franklin Spears; by one daughter, Clarice Faye Evans; by one brother, Ben Spears; and by two sisters, Clara Spears Channell and Katy Spears McDaniel.

Survivors include: one son, Charles E. Spears of McCaskill; one daughter, Priscilla Spears of Blevins; one grandson, raised in the home, Wayne Woodall of Hope; three brothers, Fred Spears, Oscar Spears and George Spears all of Malvern; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several great- great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2005, Friendship United Methodist Church in McCaskill, with Rev. Paul Choate officiating. Burial followed in Friendship Cemetery in McCaskill. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Saturday, January 22, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
