Paul Harris

Mr. Paul T. Harris, 76, of Prescott, died Sunday, January 9, 2005, at his home.

He was born on March 15, 1928, in Blevins to Monte and Grace McDougald Harris. He was a retired building contractor and rancher. He was a member of the Prescott Church of Christ, a Mason, a Shriner and former Nevada County Cattleman.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Essie Faye Richey Harris, who died in 1998; by his daughter, Donna Lynn Harris; by four brothers, Monty, Hayden, Chubbie and Ralph.

His survivors include: Earleen Mathis Harris of Prescott; one son, Michael Richie Harris and Carol of Ft. Worth, Texas; one step-son, Mike Ridling of Rowlett, Texas; one step-daughter, Susan Swallow of Rowlett; two brothers, John K. Harris of Geneva, Texas and Joe Harris of Prescott; three sister, Elizabeth Wilson Tinsley of Prescott, Martha Sisson of Hope, and Esther Wilson of Tyler; two grandchildren, Haley Baker Carter of Waxahachie, Texas, and Michael Heath Harris of Ft. Worth, Texas; one step-grandson, Craig Swallow and Karen of Rowlett and four great-grandchildren, Bailee R. Carter, Brody Carter, Katelyn Harris, and Kooper Harris.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at Church of Christ in Prescott with Mr. Gene Cloer and Mr. Tony Hamilton officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Family received friends Tuesday, January 11, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
