Melwin CoxPublished Wednesday, January 19, 2005 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Melwyn Elisabeth Milam Cox, 73, of Ashdown, died January 13, 2005, in Ashdown. She was a Southern Baptist and went to First Baptist Church in Ashdown. She was born in Junction City, May 26, 1931. Survivors include: her husband of 54 years, Charles L. Cox of Ashdown; one son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Melissa Cox of Ashdown; three daughters and sons-in-law, Christine McQueen of Hope, Robin and Mike Davis of Little Rock and Amanda and Mike Molock of Ashdown; one sister, Sylvia Traylor of Smackover; nine grandchildren, Richard Cox, Adam Cox, Matthew McQueen, Christopher McQueen, Jordan Davis, Joshua Davis, Andrew Davis, Anna-Marie Molock, and Jon Michael Molock; and one great-grandson, Jonathan Cox. Funeral services were Saturday, January 15, 2005, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Ashdown. Interment was in Ashdown Memorial Gardens in Ashdown with Rev. Butch Riddle officiating. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Ashdown and the Multiple Myslona Foundation.
