Benjamin VanCampPublished Wednesday, January 12, 2005 in the Gurdon TimesBenjamin Franklin VanCamp, 92, of Gurdon, died on Saturday, January 1, 2005. He was a welding supervisor for Chicago Bridge and Iron, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gurdon. Survivors include: his wife, Florence VanCamp, of Gurdon; his son, James VanCamp and wife Irene of Pineville, Louisiana; his daughter, Nellwyn Grilliette and husband William of Judson, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Claudia. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Paul Sheets officiating.
